10th annual Walk for Hope – the biggest ever?

LOS ANGELES: “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” The Be The Cause organization once again hits the road and asks you a poignant question – How will you be the cause of change in your community?
In its 10th year, the Walk for Hope, unlike other Walkathons, is absolutely free of charge and its sole purpose is to build an inspiring event that encourages individuals to make a difference in their community, one step at a time. Every year, an average of 700 walkers who have attended the Walk in the past have considered this event “Deeply Profound,” “Moving,” “Humbling, and Transformative.”
The Path, adorned with handcrafted inspirational quotes and interactive artwork, greets the Walkers at the finish line with entertainment by international musicians and homemade food prepared by volunteers. The 3.5K Walk is surrounded by other non-profit organization booths that educate and encourage Walkers to take action to Be The Cause of something greater than themselves.
Every year, Walk for Hope promotes participation in an interactive activity, this year Candy Chang’s “Before I die…” project will take center stage. The Walk will feature a 32 feet by 8 feet monument with recorded statements of individuals sharing their aspirations of what they’ll do before they die.
