Yashraj Films, the prestigious Bollywood banner which specializes in churning out mushy romantic super hit films at regular intervals but infamous for not paying superstars even like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan their market prices, has been forced to cough out a whopping Rs 17.5 crore and a share in the profit for Salman Khan.
Salman Khan, who plays the lead in upcoming spy thriller ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, was able to hammer out this arrangement with the numero uno banner of Bollywood due to his growing clout in the industry.
In fact, director Kabir Khan was hell bent on signing Sallubhai for the lead and there was no other way left for Aditya Chopra’ s banner than to sign Salman Khan for the amount that he was asking for. After the super success of ‘Wanted’ and ‘Dabangg’ at the box -office, Salman Khan is being offered and getting even more than this Yashraj price for working with other production houses.
Yashraj, too, went with Salman Khan’s market price to a certain extent as they desperately needed a blockbuster from their stable. For quite some time now, Yashraj Films are not doing as good as they would expect to do at the box- office and this must have propelled them in accommodating Salman Khan’s price.
