Chetan Bhagat announced the ‘engagement’ ceremony of his 2 States protagonists Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor on Twitter. It took place at PVR Cinemas, Juhu.
In case you have still not guessed, it was the trailer launch of Abhishek Varman’s film 2 States whose book by the same name has been adapted into the film.
2 States is the love story of a couple coming from two different states in India. So Alia Bhatt plays a south Indian girl sans the accent, Arjun Kapoor is the quintessential north Indian boy.
Arjun plays the character of Krish Malhotra and Alia plays Ananya Swaminathan in the movie.
Alia on Arjun Kapoor: “For me he (Arjun) has a very special place in my life… we were shooting for Highway and 2 States around same time. He became a good friend. He is a funny person and has a good sense of humor.”
