NEW YORK: 9 Eleven, the Bollywood venture being entirely shot on locations in the Washington DC metropolitan area is now complete.
“We have successfully shot the entire film in our stipulated time schedule,” announced producer Narain K. Mathur, of Amar Durga Films, at a press conference and social interaction with the stars of the film at Martin’s Crosswinds on Dec 19, in Maryland.
“I am extremely happy with the progress of this film,” stated Manan Singh Katohora, the director. “All my actors rose to the occasion and have given outstanding performances.”
Speaking on this occasion famed music composer Jatin Pandit who has also scored the music of 9 Eleven, was elated that this film has shaped out so well. “It gives me great pleasure to say that the vision of the director of this film has been is now on celluloid. I can assure you that though this is a Bollywood film and shot entirely in Washington DC, the production standards have been high and can be compared to the best in this industry.”
Now under post production and set for global release by mid 2011, the film portrays the life of 10 people who belong to different walks of life. Though each individual has achieved a measure of success in their individual lives, their darkest secrets come out in the open when all of them are given some time for introspection, when they meet each other in a bizarre twist of events. They realize that their lives are inter-woven and this literally shakes up their peaceful lives. The film is a fast paced thriller with undertones of terrorism.
The film stars Chinmay Dhamne, Devasish Ray, Homi Irani, Jyoti Singh and Kailash N. Mathur, among others.
