Ahmedabad based Apex Heart Institute AHI has introduced the robotic assisted angioplasty system in IndiaAHMEDABAD: HCG, the Specialist in Cancer Care has organized an innovative experience platform for the medical fraternity, wherein doctors got a unique hands-on experience on a fully functional robot. The event was organized at HCG, Ahmedabad with an aim to help doctors understand the finer nuances of Robotic Technology in a better manner.

The HCG team had especially stationed a roving robot at their center and invited experts to visit and experience the simplicity of Da Vinci Si surgical system which consists of exceptional features like dual-console capability to support training and collaboration during minimally invasive surgery and enhanced high-definition 3D vision for superior clinical capability.

This technologically sound surgical system has advanced 3D HD visualization with up to 10x magnification and an immersive view of the operative field, instrumentation to replicate range of motion far greater than the human hand and motion technology, which reproduces the experience of open surgery by preserving natural eye-hand-instrument alignment. However, HCG Cancer Centre, Ahmedabad houses an advanced version – Da Vinci Surgical System Xi, through which the experienced team of experts have conducted more than 300 robotic surgeries.
