Manish Sisodia, Somnath Bharti, Satyendra Jain, Girish Soni, Saurabh Bhardwaj and Rakhi Birla also took oath as cabinet ministers in Kejriwal’s government.

There was a massive crowd at Ramlila Maidan ahead of Arvind Kejriwal’s swearing-in. BJP leader Harsh Vardhan and former law minister Shanti Bhushan also present at Ramlila Maidan.

Kejriwal took a metro from Kaushambi station around 11:00am to reach Barakhamba amid tight security. He headed towards the venue for swearing-in, Ramlila Maidan, in a car.
True to his Aam Admi Party’s (AAP’s) anti-VIP culture, Kejriwal had earlier turned down ‘Z’ category security.

His AAP, which promised a corruption-free Delhi as well as lower power tariff and free water up to 700 litre a day, decimated the Congress to set the stage for the youngest Delhi CM’s swearing-in. The former Indian Revenue Service official has been asked to prove majority by January 3.

“Trying to reach Ramlila ground. Was mobbed and nearly crushed by enthusiastic supporters at Barakhamba metro station! (sic),” AAP member Yogendra Yadav tweeted.
