NEW YORK: On the occasion of its 20th conference and 11th annual meeting, the National Indo-American Association for Senior Citizens (NIAASC) is honoring noted Indian American journalist and program director with ITV, Ashok Vyas, for his contributions to the community.
Vyas is to be honored during the NIAASC conference at the Indian American Kerala Center in New York along with Rajnikant Shah from Indo-American Senior Citizen Center of New York and Milan, an ongoing seniors program in New Hyde Park, NY.
Vyas has been associated with International Television Broadcasting Inc. (ITV) NY since 1999. At ITV, where his presentation of News in Hindi is appreciated as a committed offering, he wears various hats like writer, cameraman, host, editor and director for TV Productions.
In addition to being a poet and program director with ITV, he is also a practicing Hindu Priest.
The NIAASC is a well established seniors’ organization working towards creating awareness of Indo-American senior issues and needs; providing information on issues and services pertaining to Indo-American seniors; and advocacy at the local, state, and national levels on those issues.
