Bhagawat Katha by Mridul Krishna Goswami

RIVERSIDE: Riverside’s Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir was blessed by the presence of Shri Mridul Krishna Goswami Maharaj for a week-long Shrimad Bhagawat Katha. Every weekday 300 to 400 bhaktas arrived to receive his blessings and to hear Shrimad Bhagawat Katha. On Sunday attendance doubled.
Maharaj Ji was welcomed with loud conch blowing, and a long procession wound its way around the Mandir. Devotees took turns carrying the Shrimad Bhagawatam on their heads wrapped in a cloth. Once Maharaj was seated on the mandap, sponsors were given a chance to offer a long-stemmed fresh rose and pranam. Every day a different jhanki was enjoyed. Children dressed as Shiva, sages, Radha, Krishna and gopis.
Mandir President Bhoodev Tiwari thanked Program Organizer Sanjay Jalota for providing a real swing for the Rukmini Vivaha. On Sunday, August 7, the final day, all the devotees danced in bhav. Although Shri Mridul Krishna Goswami Maharaj has given Kathas in the past here in the Mandir, everyone would agree that this was the best.
