CERRITOS, CA: Torrential rains, horrendous traffic, limited parking – nothing could hold back the overflowing turnout of supporters and sponsors backing Naresh Solanki for the Cerritos City Council race of 2015, at the Cerritos Park East facility here on December 9.
The current and former City Council-members and Mayors rallied in supporting and endorsing Solanki in a magnificent fund-raising event that gave his campaign a big jump-start.
Amongst the galaxy of stars present, were Cerritos Mayor Pro-Tem Carol Chen, Council member and former Mayor Bruce Barrows, Council member George Ray, former Mayor Laura Lee, former Mayor Sherman Kappe and former Mayor, former ABCUSD Board Member and former Cerritos College Board of Trustees Bob Hughlett, amongst many others.
Naresh, in his address said he was humbled by the overwhelming support that was shown and went on to tell the gathering what he stood for and what he would like to accomplish as a Councilmember. Earlier, each of the speakers – the Who’s Who of Cerritos – lauded Solanki for his eight years of experience as a Planning Commissioner together with his entrepreneurial background that has earned him and qualified him as a most suitable candidate for the Cerritos Council job.
