Bollywood jodis pairing up, phir se!

Shah-Rukh-Khan-Katrina-KaifWhen these actors were cast together they generated much buzz. It’s only natural that people are now looking forward to seeing them again on the big screen. A lot has been said about the chemistry that they share on screen and filmmakers have obviously taken note of it. Most of the movies that these pairs have starred in have also made money at the box office. And who doesn’t like repeating a success formula? Here are some pairs that will soon return to entertain the janta once more:

Shah Rukh Khan-Katrina Kaif:

The last time they came together, it was for the late Yash Chopra’s swansong Jab Tak Hai Jaan. They danced and romanced in typical Yash Chopra style in the movie. This time, it will be Chopra’s son and YRF head honcho Aditya, who is likely to bring SRK and Kat together in his directorial venture. This seems to be Aditya’s nod to the pair that came together in his dad’s final movie. The last time they came together, SRK broke his rule of not locking lips on-screen, it remains to be seen what happens this time around.

Varun-Dhawan-and-Alia-BhattVarun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt:

While Varun lost Alia to Sidharth Malhotra in Student of the Year, but the two made an awesome pair in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (HSKD). Their chemistry in the movie was great and the two are keen to work together again. Now we hear, mentor Karan Johar might just make their wish come true. The filmmaker is likely to produce a romantic movie to be directed by HSKD director Shashank Khaitan, and is keen to cast the pair that starred in the movie too. If all goes well, this will be Varun and Alia’s third film together.

Ranveer Singh-Anushka Sharma:Ranveer-Singh-Anushka-Sharm

Exes can be great co-stars. Looks like Anushka and Ranveer are out to prove this very statement. Not only have they acted in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, but they are all set to work together yet again. The movie will produced by Anushka’s banner and will be directed by Navdeep Singh, who has directed her first home production NH10. Anushka approached Ranveer for the movie and the actor liked the subject so much that he agreed to act in it instantly. The two YRF discoveries have previously acted in the productions house’s Band Baaja Baaraat and Ladies vs Ricky Bahl too.

Sonam-Kapoor-and-Fawad-KhanSonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan:

When they came together for Khoobsurat, which was a remake of the earlier classic by the same name, people didn’t know what to expect from this jodi. However, Fawad proved to be the perfect Prince Charming, and Sonam made for a great Disney’s desi doll. Their chemistry couldn’t be ignored in what went on to become the year’s best romcom. Just like their first movie together, their second outing too will be produced by Sonam’s sister Rhea. Based on the book author Anuja Chauhan’s book Battle For Bittora, the movie will see Sonam playing and animation expert, who finds herself contesting elections in Bittora opposite an ex-royal, played by Fawad.

Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha:Arjun-Kapoor-and-Sonakshi-S

Their first movie together Tevar releases next month, but it looks like Arjun and Sona have already caught filmmakers’ attention. There is buzz that they will star in the film made on Sahir Ludhianvi and Amrita Pritam’s life. Earlier, Priyanka Chopra was being considered for Sona’s role, but the actress couldn’t take on the role due to date issues. Fawad Khan is also slated to play an important role in the movie. While their chemistry in Tevar seems to be great, it’s the fate of the movie at the box office that will decide if Arjun-Sona make an exciting and commercially viable pair.

Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika PadukoneRanbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone:

Ranbir and Deepika are a certified hit jodi at the box office. Their last outing Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani broke box office records. And now the two actors are getting together in Imtiaz Ali’s next movie titled Tamasha. While Ranbir has worked with Imtiaz in Rockstar, Deepika has worked with the director in Love Aaj Kal. This time the trio gets together.
