Rani ‘sardar’

Rani Mukerji has not been seen on the big screen for quite a while now. And she is set to surprise her fans with her new look in Yash Raj Films’ Dil Bole Hadippa. Rani will play a sardar complete with a beard and a turban.

In the romantic comedy, set in Punjab, the actress essays the role of a girl who has to don the garb of a man to fulfil her dreams. For her role, ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra has designed the traditional kurta-pyjama and teamed it up with sports shoes to give a manly touch to Rani’s looks in the movie.

For the rest of the film, Rani’s looks have been styled by Mike Stringer, who was responsible for Hrithik Roshan’s multiple disguises in Dhoom 2.
