CHICAGO: One of the front ranking Indian community activists and the first dual citizen of India and USA, Iftekhar Shareef, is now setting his sight to be the first NRI to be a member of Indian parliament.
This follows a move by many of his supporters here and back home to propose his name to the Indian government to let him contest the elections or get nominated to Rajya Sabha by the authorities.
An email campaign has already in circulation and the news had thrilled many in Chicago. At present Iftekhar Shareef is in Hyderabad.
