MILWAUKEE, WI: India Fest Milwaukee 2014 was organized successfully by Spindle India on August 16, second year in a row in Milwaukee, WI. This was part of India’s 68th Independence Day celebrations with color, fun, children, people, diversity, culture and heritage.

It was a full day entry-free retreat with 11 hour jam-packed day with performances by 260+ participants, 36 acts, 28 food and merchant vendors, over 5,000 attendees. Many things made it special for Milwaukee – an ios/android app, designated photo area, rangolis, paintings, kid volunteers, raffles, big name associations like Air India, Kohl’s, Harley Davidson Motor company, Mayor of City of Milwaukee, County Executive, Fox 6, CBS, WTMJ, jsonline, Shephard Express amid a well-coordinated effort. Tireless volunteers, extraordinary performances, delicious food & seamless executions came together for Milwaukeeans under a beautiful sunny day where children’s parade, flag hoisting, national anthem and patriotic songs were conducted.

Kashmir to Kerala, Punjab to Tamil Nadu, West Bengal to Maharashtra; Bhelpuri to Biriyani, Samosa to Dosa; Bharatnatyam to Bihu to Bhangra – IndiaFest Milwaukee became the destination for Indians and non-Indians to celebrate a day of India and learn about India.
