CHICAGO: India Development Service and Loyola University, Chicago will hold an Annual Conference about Rural Innovations and Technologies on April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:p.m.at Loyola University Medical Center, Room No. 160, Maywood, Illinois.
Invited Speakers are Professor Anil Gupta, Professor IIM, Ahmedabad, India. Manoj Sinha and   Charles Rensler, Founders, Husk Power Systems. Shailesh Rao, Founder, The Climate Healers, CA and Bhagawati Agrawal, founder, Aakash Ganga.
Anil Gupta has helped Govt. of India to mobilize more than 70,000 innovations and traditional knowledge practices from over 500 districts of India.
Shailesh Rao holds a Ph D from Stanford University, and is founder of the Climate Healers, a non profit organization based in California, working towards combating the climate crisis by reforestation and use of solar energy.
Bhagawai Agrawal is a founder of Sustainable Innovations, a non-profit corporation to harness technologies for delivery of health care to vulnerable populations and for making safe drinking water available to rural areas. Manoj Sinha and Charles Ransler, Graduate students at the University of Virginia, and founders of Husk Power Systems are working to provide power using innovative technology to convert rice husks into electricity.
