Meet & greet forum with Chris Christie
CARTERET, NJ: Carteret Republican Chairman Jim Failace and Vice Chair Linda Singh have announced a meet and greet forum with Chris Christie at the VFW, located at 289 Pershing Ave in Carteret NJ on Sunday May 17.
Failace, newly appointed Republican Chair said, "I am excited that the citizen's of Carteret will get an opportunity to meet and question a gubernatorial candidate. I can't remember when that ever happened in Carteret in the past."
Vice Chair Linda Singh said, "Having Mr. Christie here in Carteret will be a great benefit to all our citizens." She also said that she is happy and excited about the resurgence of the Republican Party in Carteret.
Failace echoed those sentiments, "For too long Carteret has been a one party town and simply put, that's not good. The two party system was created so that good government would have checks and balances. In Carteret, there are no checks and balances, no dissenting votes, no spirited debate, not one of the council members ever questions the mayor."
Singh says she looks forward to an "Exciting, spirited and informative campaign season." Failace added, " The Republican Party is back to address the issues that have been ignored over the last seven years by the present administration. Over crowding in the schools, rising taxes, and crime...issues that affect the quality of life of every Carteret resident. In the coming months, we will layout our message and vision that we feel will benefit all of Carteret. "
Chris Christie is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1984. He went on to earn his degree at the Seton Hall University School of Law in 1987. He joined a Cranford law firm, and was soon made partner.

Christie and his wife of 22 years, Mary Pat, are raising 4 children.
Also on hand at the May 17th Christie Meet and Greet will be the Republican Candidate for State Legislative Assembly for the 19th District (Carteret, Perth Amboy, Woodbridge, & South Amboy) Pradip ""Peter" Kothari, and Republican Candidates for Carteret Boro Council: Ken Freeman & John Nartowicz.
