Xavier School of Medicine celebrates 2009 Graduation

The Xavier University School of Medicine at Aruba celebrated its 2009 Graduation on June 6 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The 2009 class comprised 72 graduates, the largest in Xavier University's five-year history.

 The speakers of the event were Chancellor Dr. J.G. Bhat, Chairman Edwin Casey, President Ravishankar Bhooplapur, and Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. B.L. Stalnaker.

Graduates were addressed on key issues affecting our society, responsibility of providing exceptional medical care, and furthering the legacy of our University. Xavier University's Alumni Association consists of over 200 graduates, half of whom are applying or are currently in Residency programs throughout the United States. 

Xavier University prides itself by the motto "Cultivating Great minds for Primary Education." Founded in 2004, Xavier University is a provider of medical education offering a Doctor of Medicine degree program. Located in Aruba, Dutch West Indies, The School of Medicine places students into clinical rotations and residencies throughout the United States.

As Xavier University continues to grow and strive for excellence, it looks forward to expanding its Alumni base and increasing its Graduating class for 2010.
