NEW JERSEY: Close to $50,000 were raised in donations at a fundraiser in New Jersey by FACT India, an organization established by French writer and journalist Francois Gautier. The funds were raised in support of the Chatrapathi Shivaji Museum of Indian history to be set up in Pune, India.

Addressing the gathering of nearly 300 people gathered at the Arsha Bodha Center in New Jersey on Aug 16, Gautier said that in spite of India having greatest history, none of that is known to the rest of the world. India, he mentioned was a leading light in every field of human achievement in language, science, art, culture and spiritual.

The event displayed the several exhibitions created by FACT India such as 'Aurangzeb, according to Mughal records',  'Sikhs, The defenders of Indian Dharma',  'Naxalism, threat to Unified India'.  Also displayed was a film on 'Trauma of Partition'.

The program ended with a dance drama 'Parijatapaharanam' performed by Nrithya Madhavi School of Dance, based in Edison, New Jersey.
