Isha Vyas on Historical Records Advisory Board
NEW JERSEY: Isha Vyas of Woodbridge, New Jersey, has been appointed by Governor Jon S. Corzine to the State Historical Records Advisory Board.
The Advisory Board was established in 1975 to serve as the central advisory body for historical records planning in the state of New Jersey. The board is a conduit as well as review body for grant projects funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission in support of archival and records management programs.
Members are representatives of public and private archival and research institutions appointed by the Governor to three-year terms under authority of the Code of Federal Regulations.
Vyas currently works at the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission as the History Services and Grants Coordinator providing support to non-profit organizations for historic and cultural projects. She has developed and presented many Indian and other multi-cultural programs in Middlesex County.
Additionally, Isha Vyas also serves as the County Coordinator for the Advocates for New Jersey History and is the Vice President of the Board of Trustees of Woodbridge Public Library, NJ.
