Gov. Nixon    observed that he   appreciated having such a quality candidate for this position and that Sreenu would bring valuable experience and diversity to the commission. "Sreenu has also demonstrated a deep commitment to his community, and I am pleased to appoint him," he said.

A graudate of Washington University of Law, Dandamudi operated a private law practice in St. Louis and also was a Missouri assistant attorney general. While with the Attorney General's Office, he was legal counsel to several licensing boards, representing those boards before the Administrative Hearing Commission. Dandamudi is a graduate of Washington University School of Law.

The Governor's appointment now moves to the Missouri Senate for confirmation.
The Administrative Hearing Commission is a neutral, independent administrative tribunal that decides disputes involving state agencies and another party, usually a private person or corporation. The Commission typically decides the cases after a trial-type hearing.

The commissioners do not sit as a body; instead, each commissioner hears evidence and arguments from the state agency and from the other party and decides a case as an individual. Any party, including the state agency, may seek review of the Administrative Hearing Commission's decision from the judicial branch.
