CHICAGO: Dada Bhagwan of Chicago, a no profit body, organized a self-realization seminar from July 17-19 at Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago in Bartlett, a northwest suburb of Chicago
About 700 people attended the event to listen to Shri Deepakbhai Desai for this three day seminar.
On July 17 from 6:30pm- 9pm there was General Satsang. He explained that knowledge of the Self (Atma-Gnan) is the final goal of all seekers. Without this knowledge, there is no liberation. In the Gnanvidhi ceremony, the belief that “I am this body-mind complex” is destroyed and the conviction that “I am the Pure Soul” is eternally established within.
This awareness will blossom into deeper and subtler levels as one follows the simple guidelines that are given to nourish, protect and accelerate this newly revealed knowledge of the Self. Satsang was in a question-answer format.
On July 18 from 10am-12pm the Satsang was by Shri Dimplebhai Mehta. He explained about registration and introduction to Gnanvidhi. This was also in a question answer format. Gnanvidhi was performed by Shri Deepakbhai Desai which started at 5:30pm and went on till 8:00pm. Over 200 people took Gnan during this program.
On July 19, there was a follow-up satang by Shri Dimplebhai Mehta which was also in a question answer format. This is open to everyone but it allowed those who took part in Gnanvidhi to ask questions or share any experiences they wished to share.
Members of Dada Bhagwan Chicago center worked hard to make this event successful. On all three days of the event, Prasad was served by Dada Bhagwan, Chicago center.
