CHICAGO: Palatine and Wheeling Township Democrats hosted a fundraiser Sunday May 31at Chevy Chase Banquets to honor the legacy of Patrick Botterman who died young few years back.
He was the Committee Chairman of Wheeling Township Democratic Organization. He worked very hard to improve the image of Democrats in suburbs when Republicans controlled the Chicago suburbs.
The keynote speaker was Raja Krishnamoorthi, who is running for Congress in the 8th Congressional District. Botterman was also a trustee of Harper College, local community college.
This annual event honors the late Patrick Botterman, who taught northwest suburban Democrats how to organize. Alex Armour was the recipient of the 2015 Botterman Award. Thakar S Basati is an Executive Board Member of Greater Palatine Area Democrats.
