CHICAGO: Indo American Center, a no profit body largely of Indian Americans, celebrated Fathers’ Day with pomp and gaiety on June 10 at its facility on Californian and Devon Avenue

The event, gracefully emceed by Ramesh Sharma, was attended by 150 seniors and others. The highlights of the near three hours celebration were singing of songs, renderings poems and relevant talks on the significance of the Day in our society.

Cooks Kamlash Kaur andLaxmi Adhikari made special efforts to come out with tasty dishes and all relished that thanking the cooks. Decoration and setup was handled by Kemal Horic.

“It was colorful and splendid with delicious and tasteful food ,” said Sher Rajput, a community leader and activist. The entire program was coordinated by Gita Chawla.
