FREMONT: Bay Area welcomed 2017 with a thrilling New Year’s Eve celebration held at Royal Palace. Over 800 attendees from across the Bay Area bid adieu to 2016 and started 2017 with excitement and cheers.

The Unforgettable New Year’s Eve party was organized by Festival of Globe (FOG). A packed hall of eager attendees feasted on the best sensory pleasures as they regaled in Fashion Show, dance performances, singing and hit party songs by fabulous DJ. A beautifully choreographed night made the evening a memorable one. Deputy Consul General of India Mr. Rohit Rathish was the Guest of Honor.

Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Convener FOG, wished everyone a happy New Year and expressed the hope that in the coming year, community will come together to make progress in all spheres of life and become a strong cultural force to reckon with. Encouraging community talent was a highlight of the party.

Live entertainment, midnight champagne and balloon drop completed the run up to the countdown.

Elegantly dressed guests wishing each other for a prosperous new year had the floor reverberate with their non-stop dancing to the tunes of party music. Party music at high decibels, free professional photography, free flowing drinks, delicious hors devours, and multi course meal created a celebratory atmosphere to welcome the New Year.

Many local singers were invited to perform at the event. Alka Bhatnagar and Aditi Srinivasan mesmerized the audience with their amazing singing talent. High energy dances were performed by Dance Dil Se. A wonderfully choreographed fashion show by Qamar Ayubzai was a harmony of the beauty, the brains and the trendy clothes. The performances were a perfect blend of social and entertainment quotient of Bay Area Indian community.

Festival of Globe has many upcoming events on their way in 2017. FOG is celebrating 25th Anniversary of Festival of India and Parade from August 4 to 13. FOG has successfully brought the world’s largest and oldest democracies together, while imbibing the youngsters with the culture and values that community practices in making the adopted land of dreams their own.
