FIA & India Post welcome 2015 with fabulous dance & music

SAN JOSE: This year Bay Area’s best and most thrilling New Year celebration was held at San Jose Airport Garden Hotel. The evening festivities were attended by over 800 people from all over the Bay to welcome the New Year.

The Unforgettable New Year’s Eve party organized by India Post news weekly and Federation of Indo-Americans (FIA) of Northern California featured eclectic dance performances from world over. A packed hall of eager attendees feasted on the best sensory pleasures as they regaled in Brazilian Samba, Egyptian Belly dance by Nicolana, and singing by international fame Harjeet Mehndi. A beautifully choreographed night made the evening a memorable one. Among others, Consul General of India Mr Venkatesan Ashok was the Guest of Honor.

Live entertainment with fabulous DJ, delicious dinner, host bar, midnight champagne and balloon drop, free professional photography, fashion show and nonstop dancing to the tunes of Live music were key highlights of the evening.

Dr. Romesh Japra, Publisher India Post and President and Convener FIA wished everyone a happy New Year and expressed the hope that in coming year, community will come together to make progress in all spheres of life and become a strong cultural force to reckon with. Encouraging community talent was another initiative at the party. Many local singers were invited to perform at the event. Kapil Mohan, Anu and Rajiv Batra, Alka Bhatnagar mesmerized the audience with their amazing singing talents. Vama Designs performed a wonderfully choreographed fashion show. It was a harmony of the beauty, the brains and the trendy clothes. The performances were a perfect blend of social and entertainment quotient and showcased the best talents of Bay Area Indian community

As 2014 gave way to the New Year at mid-night, balloon drop by India Post team welcomed 2015 in style.
