Festival of Globe is a 10-day jubilant celebration starting from Aug 7th to 16th, 2015 in the Silicon Valley and will include SF Global Movie Fest, FOG Awards, Famous Mela (Fair), and Grand Parade.
Federation of Indo-Americans (FIA) is well known in San Francisco and western US for organizing colossal community events that integrate the fabric of global communities. This year, it is bringing “Festival of Globe (FOG)” a bonanza to bay area.
Surpassing previous turnout records, this year promises to attract largest ever gatherings in the bay area. About 20,000 people are expected to attend FOG awards in SAP center and 150,000 people expected to participate in FOG Grand Parade.
To support the oppressed and show its solidarity, this year’s theme is Freedom for all globally. The net proceeds from this year’s events will go towards women empowerment and helping in women issues like Sex Trafficking victims, Domestic Violence victims, Gender Equality and Women Safety.
Dr. Romesh Japra, Founder and Convener FOG was gushing with enthusiasm and spoke of his dream and mission of Empowering Social and Cultural Entrepreneurship.
During a FOG press conference with Gulshan Grover, Om Puri, Kieu Chinh, Shane Sparks, he said, “Festival of Globe mission is to empower and integrate global cultures and communities through Film Arts, Performing Arts, Visual Arts and Folk Arts.
FOG creates various platforms and activities to champion various Social Causes like Women’s Issues, Child Abuse, Toy Drive, Youth Development, Senior support, Feeding the Hungry and Homeless, Free Health Care, support Physically Challenged, Support Disasters, Promote Individual Freedom and more.
FOG will continue to be at the forefront of cultural leadership in inculcating values of compassion, helping the oppressed and championing causes of gender equality”.

FOG AWARDS is a premier show that selects over 100 winners from movies submitted from more than 30 countries. The host of celebrities from Bollywood, Hollywood, Latino World, Europe, China and Far East, top movie makers, independent movie makers and investors will be descending into San Jose, the technology capital from and around the globe.
Awards will also be bestowed upon ACHIEVERS who champion noble causes and make this world a more friendly, enjoyable and progressive place. There will be a unique display of performing arts on this platform. Global cultural dances, music, comedy and fashion fest will enrich and entertain everyone’s taste.
The FOG awards will be held on largest ever scale at SAP Center. It is expected to have 20,000 attendees and will be graced by more than hundred invited Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities. The welcome addresses will be by Consul Generals of various countries followed by a press conference.

Andy Madadian and Sonu Nigam will perform together in filling the SAP enter with the poetic beauty of Persian, Armenian music and soulful Indian vibes set against the vibrant backdrop of dance music. Andy Madadian, “The Persian Elvis” has released multiple albums selling in the millions throughout the world. He is famous for his blending and harmonious music making East meet west to listener’s delight. This will be a unique rendition at FOG Awards.
A unique hip blend has been added to FOG Awards as the rapper known as ‘Bohemia the king of Punjabi rap’ will have an unprecedented live stage performance. Bohemia is popularly recognized as the creator of Punjabi rap music. His hit singles like ‘Kali Denali’, ‘Charso Bees’ and his appearance in the Bollywood film ‘Chandi Chawk to China’ with Akshay Kumar has put Bohemia in a league of his own as a pioneer of a new genre.

FOG Awards and Red Carpet Gala will be held on Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at SAP Center at 5:00 p.m. Aesthetically appealing performances will continue in to the evening at SAP center.
