CHICAGO: The dream cometh true. Finally for the first time in Chicagoland, and probably in the USA, there will be a place exclusively catering to Hindi lovers and well wishers with a formal launch of Hindi Library in the heart of Mini India Town on Devon Avenue on January 26, an auspicious day for Indians across the world when they celebrate Republic Day of India.

Hindi Lovers Club headed by Smt Gurbachan Kaur Shewakramani had been striving hard to have a facility for those who love Hindi language or those who want to promote this national language among Indians and non Indians here. Their efforts are finally bearing fruit

A good number of Chicago dignitaries and community elites including Consulate officials Baliram Bhatti and Prerna Arya, Sunil Shah, Rohit Joshi and others would be attending the event slated at 7 pm in the evening. Smt Gurbachan said that the event is free and all are invited. Besides, the Library management would welcome anybody donating books or magazines for others to share. The management will be more than happy to pick up books from anywhere in Chicago.
The Library is part of multifarious activities that the Club has been taking over the past six years of existence for popularizing Hindi in this part of the world and that includes conducting free Hindi classes for young and adults and hosting Hindi Diwas annually.
