CHICAGO: The Global Organization of Persons of Indian Origin, (GOPIO ) Chicago Chapter has announced hosting a Business Conference and Annual Gala on April-18, 5:30 pm onwards at Oak Brook Marriott, in Oakbrook, a south west suburb of Chicago.
GOPIO is one of the largest Indian organizations outside India having chapters in over 20 countries. Its Chicago Chapter President Gladson Varghese along with Executive Board conducted a press conference in Punjabi Dhaba Restaurant on Devon Avenue explaining the details of the April meeting.
Gladson mentioned that GOPIO Chicago Chapter is very proud to organize this great event in Oak Brook Marriott, which is centrally located, so that people from various parts of Chicago and suburbs can attend this event. The meeting is divided in three major sections: At 5:30 pm business networking starts, several business owners and staff will attend this event. Then at 6 pm business conference starts.
Gladson informed this paper that Lt. Governor of IL, Evelyn Sanguinetti, Congressman Danny Davis, Congressman Bob Dold, State Senator Daniel Biss, IL Senate President John Cullerton, Business leaders J.P. Morgan Chase Midwest Chairperson and Former congresswomen Melissa Bean among others, would be among the prominent US and state lawmakers to attend this event.
Annual Gala and Dinner starts at 8 pm. At he annual Gala several dazzling dances, live music by very talented Bollywood singers, Fashion Show by American and Indian performers and several other entertainment programs will be presented.
Also at the event several awards will be presented for Leaders from Indian community. Among them are Best Businessman of the Year; Best Student of the year; Best Community leader of the year and Best Women leader of the year.
GOPIO Treasurer Syed Hussaini, Business conference Chairman Vikrant Singh, Secretary M. Savinder Singh, Advisory Board member Hina Trivedi, Jt.
