The iconic couple of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and Kajol are again coming together to set the silver screen ablaze. The duo has been reportedly roped in to play lead protagonists in a 100-crore-club director Rohit Shetty’s film. After the super-duper success of ‘Chennai Express’, Shahrukh and Rohit have teamed up for yet another blockbuster.
The untitled film also stars Varun Dhawan in a parallel role. According to the latest gossip, Rohit is trying to convince Kajol to play the female lead. Kajol who was last seen in ‘We Are Family’ (2010) is yet to give her nod. The director has apparently approached the actress with the script.
Says an industry insider, “Rohit wants Kajol to make her comeback with his film, which will go on the floors soon. He has had many rounds of discussions with the actress and is trying his best to rope her in the project.”
Kajol was supposed to star in Ram Madhvani’s film but she opted out due to creative differences. Then there were reports that she would star in husband Ajay Devgn’s home production but that too seemed to be uncertain. Kajol was last seen opposite Shahrukh Khan five years back in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name is Khan’.
