CHICAGO: The Gujarati Samaj of Chicago celebrated Diwali Gala meet Musical night and dinner at Water Ford Banquet hall in Elmhurst, a Chicago suburb on November 3 with over 500 members and guests in attendance.
The musical night was with ‘Oza Group’ with singer Sanjay Oza and his son Parth Oza and female singer Rujuta and Mitali Mahant and their musical group. The near four hours program began with Ganesh Vandana followed by ceremonial lamp lighting by GSC President Dr. Manish & Reema Pandya, and GSC Past President Suryakant & Urvashi Patel. The GS team recognized all sponsors of the event among whom were Verandah Senior Living, Care For Soul, Inc. Ashok Shah also supported GSC.
The GSC president announced the names of new Board members for the year 2019 who were elected:
Dhitu Bhagwakar President, Dakshesh Modi Vice-president, Bhavesh Shah  Gen. Secretary: Vatsal Shah Jt. Gen Secretary, Sandip Shah  Treasurer Yatin Kumar Patel Jt.Treasurer, Mrs Urvashi Patel  Cultural Secretary, Mrs Chandrika Shah Jt. Cul. Secretary.
