Hate crime meeting in Little India

ARTESIA: A meeting has been organized on November 19 by the Founder of Little India (Artesia) and resident of Cerritos, Ramesh Mahajan
to fight hate crimes targeted against Indian Americans.

In a press release he said, “there have been 25 combined day time burglaries, 15 reported incidents in Artesia day time robberies with guns, 16 not reported incidents, about 100 purse snatchings, chain /wallets snatching, damaging of expensive cars, etc which are not reported at all because these visitors come from 150 radius & they don’t want to get involved in law enforcement.”

This meeting is scheduled for November 19 at 3.00 pm at LA County Supervisor Don Knabe’s Office. Among those attending will be L.A County Chief of Staff Leroy D Baca along with all law enforcement officers responsible for that area, prominent leaders of Indo American community and all the Artesia Merchants & Cerritos residents.
