India Minister invited for Chicago Health Summit

HEALTH SUMMIT-webCHICAGO: The Association of Tamil Nadu Medical Graduates Charitable Foundation (ATMG – USA), Chicago, USA has announced organizing a Health Summit on November 7 & 8 in Chicago.

This two day Health Summit would facilitate transfer of technology, exchange programs and development of an International Institute of Public Health in India.

National Federation of Indian Associations (NFI) is also an active participant in this summit, according to Sohan Joshi, President NFIA.

“In fact, we have sent invitation and congratulatory messages to PM Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Health Dr Harsh Vardhan to come to Chicago through Dr Vijay Prabhakar, ATMG Executive director and our advisor,” he said

Dr Vijay G Prabhakar, Executive Director of ATMG , USA along with M Logith, Executive Director of HemRam Eco Consultancies of Chennai invited the Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare Dr Harsh Vardhan, to deliver the keynote address at the US-India Health Summit in Chicago. He is invited also to preside over the Indian American Medical Association (IL) USA’s 34th Annual Banquet to be held on November 8 in Chicago.

Prominent health care organizations, universities and Federal Government officials are expected to participate in the US – India Health Summit. US Congressman Danny K Davis and US Secretary of Health and Human Services will also participate.

Dr Vijay Prabhakar presented a congratulatory message plaque from US Congressman Danny Davis to Dr Harsh Vardhan at their recent meeting in New Delhi. M Logith India’s coordinator of the US – India Health Summit 2014 also presented a congratulatory message plaque from NFIA, USA to Dr Harsh Vardhan at the same meeting.

Accepting the invitation and congratulatory messages, Dr Harsh Vardhan, laid stress on strengthening the health care system in India from the primary health care centers to establishing institutes of excellence in each state.
