CHICAGO: Close to 1000 attendees, 250 participants, 17 board members enjoyed one of its type fantastic shows on Saturday, April 5, hosted by the Indian Student Association (ISA) at UIC Chicago titled India Night 2014: Kollege Life Na Milegi Dobara (You Only Live College Once).

Chicago’s largest undergraduate South Asian show featured a variety of acts to showcase the diversity of India. The show was centered on the importance of living each and every moment of college to its fullest. The emcees, Parth Shah, Jay Patel, and Xavier Thyvelikakath, took the audience on a journey through four years of college memories. Four weeks before graduation, Parth loses all his memories of college after being the victim of a car accident. As the show progresses, Jay and Xavier attempt to remind Parth of all the good times before graduation.

To relive the college experience, this was the first year that India Night displayed all four class dances. Mesmerizing the audience, the highlight of India Night 2014 was Ministry of Dhazaara, (MOD) a group of men from various nationally competitive Chicago dance groups. They left a lasting impression and made one last great college memory. The show was closed by UIC Dangeraas, that was first placed at Dandia Dhamaka and is headed to Raas Nationals. Every dance group performed their finest on the stage, decorated by Elegance Decor, leaving the audience with a truly jaw-dropping experience.

ISA at UIC thanked everyone for making India Night 2014 a success. The UIC’s chapter of Aahana, an organization that supports the education of disabled children and impoverished women, was able to make $1000 from donations during the show.
