CHICAGO: Miss Jewel of India beauty pageant will be the main attraction of the forthcoming 66thIndian Republic Day event, organized by the Federation of Indian Association to be held at Meadows club on Saturday January 24.

Miss Jewel of India is offering free entries to Illinois contestants as a special favor to the FIA. The pageant will be in three categories: Miss Teen Jewel of India (age group 13-18), Ms. Jewel of India (age group 19-29), and Mrs Jewel of India.

Winners of the pageant will be nominated to the national pageant scheduled in April. Ultimately, the winners of the national event will get a $5,000 worth of package that will include free airfare and one-week hotel accommodation and they will be able to participate in the international pageant to be held in Jacksonville, Florida.
Besides the pageant, FIA will also showcase several cultural and musical programs, which will be witnessed by several prominent state elected officials.
