Deepika Padukone, who garnered a lot of praises for her last outing ‘Padmaavat’, finds the film very close to her heart for more than one reason. The film happens to be her third film with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali after ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
Apart from all the external difficulties the film and its cast faced, the ‘jauhar’ scene, which was a major highlight of the film, was reportedly the most difficult part for the actress. The scene is apparently so close to her heart that the actress recently reached out to the filmmaker requesting him to give her the outfit she had worn for the climax scene to treasure it for life.
Deepika said although the entire journey of ‘Padmaavat’ will stay with her forever, the climax scene was one of the most memorable and intense ones.
