MILPITAS: SB Entertainment, Instant Karma, & Sitaarre TV proudly presents Diwali Dhamaka Ball 2010 with Bollywood singer Krishna Beura at the India Community Center (ICC) in Milpitas on Friday, November 12, at 8:30 P.M.
Krishna is a rising star with hit songs such as Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan (Chak De India), Rabba (Musafir), Mein Jahan Rahoon (Duet with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from Namaste London), and Chaska Chaska (Badmash Company, a Yash Raj Film).
Krishna Beura is one of the most talented playback upcoming singers today and a power-packed live performer with an excellent vocal range. He has already been featured in over 35 films. He sings in 22 languages and his specialty is in Hindi and Punjabi. In 2008, Krishna won the New Musical Sensation Male by Stardust Awards.
When asked about how he got his start, Krishna said he sent a demo tape to Sanjay Dutt with cover versions of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s songs. Sanjay liked his singing style and Krishna was offered four movies and this is how his career started. “I’ve been singing from my childhood and I always wanted to be a singer. My dad was in the Indian Air Force and I wanted to join the Air Force to become a fighter pilot, but then I thought singing is what I want to do. I had an ambition to fly high, but now I sing high and I’m quite happy about what I do today,” Krishna told India Post.
“I’ve been listening to my guru and idolized the way Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahib sings. That’s how I got the knack of singing high notes,” said Krishna. When asked about a dream come true, Krishna said, “I wanted to sing for Shah Rukh Khan and I sent out a thought in the air, it multiplied and in a week’s time, I was called in by Yash Raj Studios to record ‘Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan.’ I even got two awards for this song,” exclaimed Krishna.
