Kriti not insecure

Actress Kriti Sanon got much appreciation for playing Bitti, a small-town girl from Uttar Pradesh, in Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s Bareilly Ki Barfi. And now, she is all set to portray a UP ki ladki once again – this time around in Luka Chuppi. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, will see her sharing screen space with Kartik Aaryan.
Considering the fact that nepotism has been a topic of hot debate in the industry over the last couple of years, Kriti was recently asked if, as an outsider, she ever felt insecure in the industry. Answering the question, Kriti said that an artiste starts thinking about competition the moment he/she steps in. However, she says that she prefers to look at its positive aspect.

She said that she liked many of her contemporaries’ films, and they inspire her to work better. She also noted that every artiste has a different journey. And, though it is not easy to get noticed in Bollywood, she does not allow herself to feel insecure.
Kriti noted that every actor has a few films, which turn into milestones and change the course of their career. For example, Deepika Padukone’s career took a different turn after Cocktail. Talking about herself, Kriti said that her professional life changed after Bareilly Ki Barfi.
