Anil lights up Festival

LOS ANGELES: A celebration full of lights, camera and action took place at the Arclight in Hollywood. Guests were welcomed by a crew of friendly volunteers and staff that made the night absolutely memorable.

Opening night was brought in with a bang with a red carpet extravaganza graced by none other than Mr. Millionaire himself, Anil Kapoor. 

Greeted by a crew of excited media Anil Kapoor answered everyone's questions graciously and with pride for his industry.

The first film of the festival was Anand Surapur's film The Fakir of Venice that gave the crowd a taste of the highly acclaimed films that will be showcased at this year's event.

After the film the crowd traveled to the opening night gala where the film goers were enthralled by a night of amazing food, dancing, and entertainment. Chakra cuisine catered the night and was paired with dancing and entertainment for the Indian intrigued audience.
From the bay to LA dance team Project Pulse made their way over with a medley of songs from oldies to newbies. The team wore black and gold that shimmered as they completed turns, leaps and stunts in an energetic whirlwind of excitement.

The Indian Film Festival will be taking place the rest of the week with films such as, Air India, Gandhi My Father, Little Zisou, Virsaat, and Heaven on Earth. Sunday night the event will bid farewell with Yes Madam Sir and another closing night Gala sure to be just as eventful as the first.
