The fervour of Golf reached a frenzied pitch as the swish set of the city descended at the Qutab Golf Course to exercise their Golfing skills at the LT Governor’s Cup 2018. The five-day event saw the top-notch corporate honchos, bureaucrats and executives, keeping aside their boardroom agendas and putting their best foot forward to indulge in Golf.

In all these five days, the energy at the Qutab Golf course was electrifying as the Golf enthusiasts putted away in style and let the spirit of the game engulf them.We caught up with Air Cmde NPS Dalmi (Retd), Secretary of Qutab Golf Course and he enthused, “This is the 18th edition of the LT Governor’s Cup, which is organised for the members of club to gather under a single roof, play Golf, unwind, forge new associations and strengthen old ones. The best part is it gets bigger and better every year.”

The event was high on the power quotient as we saw honourable Lt. Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal and ex Lt. Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung making their strong presence felt at the do. Mrs Baijal did the honours of giving away the prizes to the winners.
Avid Golfer TCA Raghavan, Former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan and Singapore, who was present at the do, shared with a smile, “Golf is a demanding game that needs complete focus but at the same time, it’s unhurried pace allows for conversations to unfold and bonds to be formed. It’s always amazing to be at the Qutab Golf course and play your fave game.”

Another ardent Golfer Raj Verma, President- Strategic Initiatives, ‎Hindustan Power Limited, said, “The odd blend of solitude and friendship that the game offers is amazing. You can acquire a large group of like-minded friends through Golf.”Conversations flowed and all the Golf enthusiasts bonded over some delectable delights at the do. The winners went home with exciting prizes and most importantly, with the happy experience of some good days of golf.
