MKCA, Chicago announces annual picnic

MKCA PIC 2013-webCHICAGO: The Mangalorean Konkan Christians Association (MKCA) Chicago has announced hosting its annual picnic on Saturday, August 9 at Hawthorn Badminton Shelter grounds in Vernon Hills, a northwest suburb of Chicago.

MKCA would welcome all the patrons, well-wishers and guests for this picnic. “This is a ‘free for all’ event organized in honor of everyone’s support and encouragement to the organization,” said Vissia D’Souza, MKCA spokesperson.

The event will include plenty of activities and competitions to keep everyone occupied for the whole day with Volleyball, Throw ball, Shuttle Badminton, Dog-n-bone, Tug-of-war, Sack Race, Lemon Race, Musical Chairs, cricket and many more. There will be plenty of food and beverages to keep one energized and keep going till late evening, she said.

MKCA has also announced hosting Monthi Fest on September 6. “Details of the Fest will be forthcoming soon,” Vissia said.
