FREMONT, CA: On Sunday 8th April, OFBJP – N. CA (Zone) arranged an event where National General Secretary of BJP Kailash Vijayvargiya along with founding convener of “Naba Banga” campaign Soumen Purkayastha addressed the community from Delhi through video conference.The event was also joined by many people from West Bengal and other parts of India through Facebook Live.
Under the leadership of Chandru Bhambhra, this event was attended by many community dignitaries including big participation from West Bengal and Karnataka. Naba Banga’s chief USA coordinator Judhajit Senmazumdar and West Coast coordinators Joydeep Dey,Sudev Mukherjee and Kannada Koota Vice President, Amruth Murthy, were few among them apart from many senior corporate leaders from Silicon Valley companies like Oracle, Cisco etc.
The discussion was mainly around “Naba Banga” campaign which has got tremendous impetus in Bengal for reclaiming its lost glory and bring back democracy. Many NRI Bengalis have joined hands in support with a view to reestablishing the rich tradition of Bengal which it has lost in the last few decades.
Vijayvargiya and Soumen Purkayastha asserted that the Naba Banga’s renaissance jointly with BJP would bring forth the good law and order system and development in West Bengal. Soumen says, “Naba Banga is a people’s movement towards a developed state of West Bengal which is now reeling under huge fiscal debt increasing every year, infiltration and overall governance failure.”
There was lot of discussion about upcoming Karnataka elections also, where OFBJP members from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and other NRIs expressed their keen interest to support the BJP and reinstated their faith under the able leadership of Modiji to bring back B.S.Yeddyurappa as the CM of Karnataka.
The event has created huge momentum both in USA and India and has been covered by some of the major media houses like Zee, ABP etc.
