NEW YORK: Smt. Chandrakala Kamath organized a fundraiser in honor of Francois Gautier, journalist and author who was born in Paris as a Catholic and has undertaken the responsibility to build Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum in Pune.

Gautier believes that “India is not just a piece of land, it is the living Shakti.” He is firmly of the opinion that Shivaji Maharaj should be to India what Napoleon is to France.”

Indian American Intellectuals Forum cooperated with Smt. Chandrakala Kamath and sent a request to its list to support Gautier in his noble mission.

The tax-deductible checks issued in the name of FACT USA in the amount of $30,000 were collected and given to Gautier. We hereby sincerely express our gratitude to all the supporters and participants.

The program was conducted by Prakash Waghmare.
