MILPITAS, CA: Pegged as a musical experience accentuated with state-of-the art technology, the gala event on August 21 at the India Community centre, Milpitas, had legendary Nitin Mukesh enthralling the audience with his best offerings of over 60 songs for nonstop 6 hours.
Nitin Mukesh is an Indian singer best known for his work as a playback singer in Hindi films as well as bhajans. He is the son of legendary singer Mukesh.
He has worked with notable music directors like Mohammed Zahur Khayyam, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Nadeem Shravan, Anand Milind during the 80’s and 90’s. He perfectly filled the empty space created by legendary singer Mukesh and voiced for actors like Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and others.
The show was organized by Bay Area’s Instant Karma and Sanjay Mitra. Instant Karma is a premier Bay Area Desi party and event company. They have brought among others, Sridevi, Mika Singh, Shreya Ghoshal and Mallika Sherawat to the Bay area. The organizers had arranged for an exclusive press meet on August 20 at the India Community center. Explaining his journey, Nitin spoke at length on his association with Lata Mangeshkar, his fond memories of his father and also his own son Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is a Bollywood actor.
Mukesh was known for a melancholic quality that would move you to tears. Nitin echoed the same quality at the concert with most of Mukesh’s evergreen hits. Overall it was an incredible and spellbinding evening that left the audience desperate for more. He sang over 60 evergreen hits which took the audience away to the golden era of music.
