PHAGWARA: The Charanjit Singh Bassi Memorial Charitable Trust has raised the amount of scholarships for meritorious students. Dubai-based entrepreneur and philanthropist Kulwinder Singh Bassi said here that the amount had been raised from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
The NRI, son of late Charanjit Singh Bassi, said this amount will be distributed to brilliant and needy students of schools and colleges of this area.
He made the announcement at the fifth ‘barsi’ death anniversary of his father Charanjit Singh Bassi.
