CHICAGO: Hundreds of family friends will wishers and leading community members flocked to Manav Seva Mandir in Bensenville – Chicago to be part of grand celebration of 75th birth anniversary and 55th marriage anniversary of Chicago doyens – Prof Anant Rawal and Smt Niruben Rawal.
The three-hour celebration organized by three Rawals – Hithesh, Dr Paresh and Rajesh – was a lively affair with classical Bharat Natyam and Bollywood dances performed by Janaki Rawal and her friends. Chicagoland prominent physician Dr Arvind Kakodkar regaled the audience rendering three beautiful Bollywood songs from yesteryears in his melodious voice. He received huge applause and was greeted with requests for more.
Prof Anant Rawal and Niruben, who migrated to this country in late eighties, thanked the guests and acknowledged the early help they received from the community. Prof Rawal headed the Sanskrit Department in Baroda University and has mastered many a scripture. His proficiently in astrology and knowledge of Hindu rituals has made him famous and popular with community.
Prof Anant Rawal and Smt Niruben are blessed with three sons, three homely daughters-in-law, five grand sons and one grand daughter. All of them live in Chicagoland.
