Ro Khanna outlines seven-point jobs plan

IMG_02_updated-webSAN JOSE, CA: Charu and Chaitanya Vaidya, big time supporters of “Ro Khanna for Congress” organized a Meet and Greet Ro Khanna event at their Early Learning Preschool located on 1133 Piedmont Road in San Jose on Saturday, March 1, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

Ro Khanna is a US Congressional Candidate representing Bay Area’s District 17. There was a very good turnout with close to 100 people from various walks of life attending the event. Among the guests were Dr Romesh Japra, Chairman of FIA, Rajesh Verma, President of FIA, as well as Silicon Valley technocrats, educationists, teachers, engineers and professionals along with many of friends and neighbors.

Ro Khanna delivered a very passionate speech outlining his Platform where he emphasized about Jobs Plan for the Bay Area’s Future. Ro highlighted a seven-point plan to bring jobs back home and to prepare workers for today’s dynamic economy. The plan included:

1. Include computer coding in the public school curriculum
2. Invest in and credential science technology, engineering and math (stem) educators
3. Increase the number of women in science and technology careers
4. Prepare young people for advanced manufacturing careers.
5. Connect small business with capital and access to the export market
6. Provide job training and tax credits to support dislocated workers.
7. Increase the minimum wage to make sure that the work pays.
The speech was followed by very lively Question and Answer session that lasted for about one hour.
