Sant Nirankari Mission donates food for homeless

TRACY, CA: The Sant Nirankari Mission (SNM), Tracy chapter celebrated its Guru Puja Divas on Feb 23 in a unique way by donating canned food worth thousands of dollars to St. Mary’s Homeless shelter in Stockton. All devotees of the mission contributed in this noble act. This act of giving is in accordance with the principles of the mission which preaches love and universal brotherhood.

Rev Devraj Vijh (Parmukh (Chief), SNM Tracy branch), Rev. Mrs. Manjit Rai and Rev. Mohan Sabnani represented SNM and handed over the donation personally to caretakers of the shelter. Volunteers and caretakers of the shelter were extremely happy with this gesture of love and care by the Sant Nirankari mission devotees and conveyed their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Rev. Devraj Vijh.

The Sant Nirankari mission is a spiritual movement which believes that God is one, formless, omnipresent and can be seen through divine knowledge imparted by spiritual master. The Sant Nirankari mission is a mission of humanity; it inspires all human being’s to come close irrespective of caste color or creed as children of one father (God).

An event was arranged from 6.30 pm to 9 pm on the same evening by the mission at mission’s church in Banta at 22713 S 7th street, Tracy, CA. Wonderful dances, skits, devotional songs were followed by a poetic symposium (Kavi Darbar) presented by children, youth and even the elder devotees of the mission. Poems were in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu and Haryanvi languages which were written by famous Indian and American poets. The program concluded with spiritual message by Nirankari Baba which was sent from India.
