EDISON, NJ: Santhigram Kerala Ayurvedic Co., USA, a leading provider of authentic Kerala specific Ayurveda therapies in the United States, celebrated its 10th anniversary at a grand function on Saturday, January 20 at Edison Hotel Banquet and Conference Center. Santhigram has its presence at 12 locations spread all over US including New Jersey, New York, Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Among more than 500 guests were New Jersey Senator Vin Gopal, Commissioner of New Jersey State Upendra Chivukula, Peter Jacob, Contestant for US Congress from New Jersey, Padma Shri H.R. Shah, Chairman of TV Asia, Padma Shri Dr. Sudhir Parikh, Chairman of Parikh Worldwide Media, Dr. Sudhanshu Prasad and Dr. Binod Sinha, prominent physicians and owners of Edison Hotel, Ms. Melinna Giannini, Health Insurance Consulting Specialist and President of ABC Medical Coding Solutions, Swami Siddhananda, Acharya of Chinmaya Mission and Deepak Parashar, the Bollywood cine actor.
The occasion was a unique mixture of informative presentations, release of souvenir etc. In the welcome address, Dr. Gopinathan and Dr. Ambika Nair, the founders of Santhigram USA, unveiled the journey of last 10 years and its future plans. During the function, Santhigram Ayurveda training School and Santhigram Herbal Products were formally launched. The School is aimed to train interested persons in Ayurveda modalities so that they can be employed during Santhigram’s impending expansion plans to meet the shortage of critical specialist workforce.
All the distinguished guests have felicitated Santhigram for its great achievement and assured all out support for Santhigram’s efforts to provide its unique Ayurveda based complementary and alternative medical care to the needy. One of the noted speakers was Senator Vin Gopal and to the surprise of the audience he has brought in and handed over to Dr. Gopinathan Nair, the CEO of Santhigram, a Joint Legislative Resolution from the Senate and General Assembly of New Jersey State, which states “That this Legislature hereby honors the Santhigram Kerala Ayurvedic Company, pays tribute to its meritorious record of service, leadership, and commitment and extends sincere best wishes for its continued success and vigor in the years to come”.
It was a proud moment for Santhigram’s management and its dedicated staff that such a recognition and honor was given by the Combined Legislature of New Jersey State.
Theme of the celebration during the extravaganza evening was “Celebrating the Spirit of Life and Good Health” which entailed walking the audience through a real time dance sequence and various informative presentations essential for one’s daily life and focus on realizing the supreme importance of staying pristine healthy. The presentation given by Dr. Anurag Nair, a physician of modern medicine and one of the Vice Presidents of Santhigram was highly informative and appreciated by one and all. During the event, Santhigram has felicitated more than a dozen people who have supported Santhigram’s efforts to establish its business in the US during its inception. An award ceremony was also conducted for its key employees, namely Reeja Beegum, Sheena Mohan, Jooly Joy, Nishad Balan, Meenu Mani and Pradeep Pillai and also Melinna Giannini, Senior Consultant who have contributed through their dedicated and sincere services to take forward Santhigram to greater heights.
Santhigram Foundation, a non-profit charity wing of Santhigram was also launched in order to support patients lacking money to pay for Ayurveda treatments, seniors needing options to opioids & barbiturates, patients suffering from mental stress, patients suffering from chronic diseases and war veterans suffering from PTSD, etc. A presentation on various plans of the foundation was given by Melinna Giannini, a Senior Consultant working with Santhigram to take forward its ambitious plans.
