When John Abraham and Bipasha Basu split in 2010, the whole film industry was curious to know the reason. Few months after the shocking break up, John was spotted with a mysterious girl by his side. Later, the actor introduced the girl as Priya Runchal, an investment banker, and also revealed that they were in a relationship. Ever since, speculation on how, when and where the love birds duo met have been doing rounds. Some said they met in the same gym.
Well, finally our Johnny boy revealed a little about his love life at a special promotional event for his next I Me Aur Main.
Clearing the air, John said he met Priya through common friends, who were working at the Mumbai office of the World Bank.
“Priya was here doing her stint at the World Bank. It was much later that she started coming to the same gym where I worked out.”
As of now, Priya is not in India but in London, busy studying MBA. She will stay in London for the next two years till she is done with her studies. So marriage is nowhere on cards as of now. Though it’s a long distance relationship, John and Priya are not wretched with the fact, as they try to see each other at least once in two months.
“I am in a happy space right now. She is extremely supportive and prefers to be away from the public eye…She gives me space and I give her space,” says John Abraham.
The actor also states that he is not a possessive beau.
