CHICAGO: Indian Seniors (ISC) of Chicago celebrated their Annual get together event on Saturday, November 22 at Manav Seva Mandir in Bensenville, a north side suburb of Chicago. More then 485 seniors and their guests attended this program.

Lamp Lighting ceremony was performed by Chief Guest Mafatbhai Patel, often described as Uncrowned King of Devon and Dr Chitranjan Patel, a noted cardiologist. The ISC president Narsinhbhai Patel, Dahyabhai Prajapati, CV Desai and others were present too.

ISC secretary Hirabhai Patel welcomed all the guests and members giving details of ISC activities during the year.

The Vice President of ISC Dr Rashikbhai Shah gave information about the program in coming year. ISC senior Bhupenrasinh Suthar performed mono acting in memory of a great show man and actor late Shri Raj Kapoor. He replicated a scene from film Mera Nam Joker song “Aye bhai Jara Dekh ke Chalo.” There was also a Qawali by his team. Hema Sastri performed Radha Krishna dance.

One of Chicago’s most popular singers Nalini Parikh and her group sang 1960-70 songs. All members and guests enjoyed the songs that drew them back in memory lane. ISC President Narsinhbhai Patel in his presidential address briefed all those present about the organization and its working in the past 13 years.

He said that the popularity of ISC has been surging among seniors and it has now more then 300 members. Every month all the members get together and seek solving seniors’ problems common to many. At the end of the program, Treasurer CV Desai and Manubhaibhai Shah, Joint Treasurer thanked all participants and executives members who worked hard for the success of this program.
