CHICAGO: Bhartiya Seniors Citizen Group of Chicago recently organized a tour meeting for seniors besides celebrating Gujarat Day, Mother’s Day, birthdays of seniors and Wedding Anniversaries of seniors falling in May. 1
The event started with Deep (lamp) lighting Gujarat Day ceremony by Biren Joshi of Manav Sadhana. Among those present were Paresh Patel of Mega circuit, Narendra Patel presdient Kadava Patidar Samaj Chicago, Amish Patel, Jisit Zaveri Pharmacist, Mansukhbhai Patel, Batukbhai Shukla, President Haribhai Patel and Secretary Parsottambhai Pandya. Group’s Artiben Thakkar, Rohiniben Dektawala, Narharibhai Thakkar, Surendrabhai Thakkar, Vidhi Thakkar sang songs about Gujarat Day, Mother’s Day and bhajans.
Founder of BSCO gave information about Vraj Yatra-Washington Tour. Biren Joshi of Manav Sadhna talked about his organization and how it serves downtrodden, homeless, orphans and battered women in Ahmedabad. Pareshbhai Patel (Mega Circuit) gave information about future programs of EKTVA.
Narendra Patel (KPS) talked about taking care of our parents not only on Mother’s Day but always and also keep them happy. Willow Lake Pharmacy’s Amish Patel informed of plans to provide free home delivery of medicines, have prescription transfer on the phone and they will try to cut down co-pay charges as much as possible.
Secretary Parsottam Pandya of BSCO welcomed and thanked all sponsors of the event. President BSCO Harishbhai congratulated the seniors on their birthday and Wedding Anniversary and welcomed them with flowers. Delicious dinner was served at the end.
